He fluttered into the air. "I'm clear. Go!"

Timothy dashed up against the spot on the cage until it fell to the ground. The mouse braced himself for impact, closing his eyes as he tumbled down.

The crash wasn't really that loud. Jiminy flew down and tugged the door to the cage open the rest of the way.

The mouse quickly crawled out of the cage, finally free. "We did it!" Timothy gave the cricket a quick hug. "We'll talk more about me making it up to you later. Right now," he said, transforming into a robin, "we need to get out of here."

"Right!" the cricket agreed, making a bee-line for the open window that he'd come in through.

Timothy soon followed the cricket out the window and into the fresh breeze of the day. It felt refreshing to him after spending some time in captivity. The robin closed his eyes, briefly, to take everything in.

"Oh, right!" The bird chuckled as he flew off with the cricket, hoping to find some place safe soon. "Seriously, Jiminy, how can I ever thank you for this?"

"... forgive me..." he said softly in response.

Forgive him? Timothy was confused about that at first, but then he remembered what had happened a few days prior. "Oh..." He slowed down on his flying, landing on a sturdy branch and transforming back into a mouse. "Jiminy, about the other day... I'm just as much at fault as you are," he admitted, a sorry look on his face. "Maybe I was... a little too harsh on you about things I said. Ya really didn't deserve that."

The cricket landed next to him. "I didn't mean to insult you."

"Well, I didn't mean ta add fuel to the fire..." The brown-furred mouse sighed. "Can we make a deal? I agree to forgive you if you agree to forgive me. Sound reasonable?"

"That sounds like an excellent idea," he replied happily

Timothy smiled. "An' I'm willing to agree to that." He held out a paw for a truce handshake. "I'm sorry, Jiminy. And I forgive you."

He shook his paw seriously.
