"Any way you can help me outta here, Jiminy?" Timothy asked, turning to face the cricket as he circled the cage. "I know this whole thing has been a bit of a mess..."

"Yes," he said, "I'm just looking for the opening..."

"Good luck finding that," the mouse said. "I tried escaping the other day, but the farmer found me and put me in this cage. I can't remember if it's on the top of this thing or if it uses latches on the corners to keep me in."

"Ah ha," Jiminy said after a moment, "It's over here."

The mouse rushed to the side Jiminy was on. "It is!? Where is it? Let me see!" Timothy reached an outstretched paw towards where the cricket was, but to no avail did he reach a lock of any sort.

"Let me think..." he said thoughtfully

Timothy stared at the latch, wondering just how they'd be able to get him out of this mess. "Maybe if I tried to push the cage towards the edge...?" the mouse suggested.

"That might work," he agreed thoughtfully, "Only... come this way..."

Curious, Timothy did what the cricket told him to do. "What're you thinking about doing?" he asked.

"You have to land at just the right angle..." he said, "And then... if I'm right -which I hope I am- the door should pop open."

The mouse thought the plan over. "An' about this angle should do it?" he asked, motioning to where he was now standing.

"I'm fairly sure it will" the cricket nodded

Timothy nodded. "All right," he agreed. "Now, how fast do I need to be going when I hit the side of the cage?"

"It shouldn't matter, as long as you land at the right angle."

Nodding again in full cooperation, Timothy backed away from the spot he was a few steps. "All right, Jiminy, stand back. I don't want ya getting hurt on accident."
