Jiminy Cricket took shelter in a hollow tree. His wings were too fragile for the wind and rain tonight. He just hoped he wasn't invading someone else's home.

A red robin was frantically trying to dodge the storm. He didn't expect for it to be this bad, just a light sprinkle, but somehow it had escalated to a real terror. Fortunately, Timothy saw available shelter inside a hollow tree. Thinking fast, he flew straight in and transformed back into his original mousey self just before he landed. His small red scarf and black feather talisman reappeared once his feet hit the bark.
But Timothy soon realized that he wasn't alone. There was a cricket in there with him. "Oh! Sorry, is this your tree?" he apologized.

"No, I just found it myself," the cricket replied.

The mouse wiped his brow in relief. "Thought I'd shown up uninvited to your home, but it's good to see someone else had the same idea as me." Timothy turned towards the entrance and watched the storm outside. "Didn't expect for it to rain this hard, to be honest."

He shook his head. "No. It caught me off guard. I never would have come out if I had thought it was going to rain like this."

"Likewise. I thought my wings were gonna be clipped before I landed." Timothy sat down on the bark, his tail wrapping itself around where he sat. "Oh well, at least I have company while this storm passes over."

"Wings?" the cricket looked him over, "Last time I looked, mice didn't have wings."

Oh, right. Mice weren't supposed to have wings. Timothy smirked a little. "That's what everyone thinks, right? Take a look at this." The mouse held out his black feather talisman to show the cricket. "This is a magic feather. It allows me to control my magic. So, I might look like an ordinary mouse now..." He then focused and, using the feather to channel the magic, transformed back into the red robin he was earlier. "... but now I can fly."

"Ah," he said, "Magic." He nodded.

"Animalia magic, actually," Timothy specified, turning back into a mouse. "I've got some pretty amazing mentors who gave me the chance. I can't thank them enough for that."

He nodded. "So what are you really?"

"Well..." Timothy motioned to himself, still a rodent. "You're looking at it."

He nodded. "That is very impressive."

"Thanks." Timothy smiled and sat back down. "So, what about you? What's your story?"

He smiled, "Well, I'm a cricket... and life is finally good."
