Alana didn't waste any time with assisting Ariel. The two grunted as they slid the opening shut. The shark bumped up against the iron once, tying to get at them, but then proceeded to swim in circles in the small enclosure.
"You know... that brooch isn't THAT pretty now that I think about it..." Alana huffed. One shiny trinket wasn't worth dying over.

Adella swam with her other sisters through the hole that Attina's mirror indicated, dodging the shark. Once outside, she noticed a nearby reef and darted for it, attempting to lose the shark there.
"This way! Hurry!" She called to her sisters, not yet aware that Alana and Ariel were not among them.

"Well these things happen when you leave the kingdom. I've seen a lot of sharks, not usually two at a time though. Alana we have told help our sisters the other shark followed them." Ariel told her sister, she grabbed her hand and pulled her.
"Come on I think I have a plan,"

"Right." Alana said, realizing that their sisters could STILL be in danger. Ariel grabbed her hand and pulled her away... but the raven haired mermaid glanced back at the shark, continuing to swim in circles in it's prison.

Ariel and Alana swam back to where they last saw their sisters. "They have to be around here some where." Ariel said swimming back towards the area they got separated.

"Uh oh..." Adella muttered. If the guards saw Attina out here, or any of them for that matter, they'd have to tell King Triton and that would not end well at all...

Ariel and Alana had picked up a thickly woven net with weights on the edges, it was incredibly heavy, but it was sure to trap the shark if they came up against it. Ariel had seen it when they had first come to the wrecked ship, on the deck.
Alana and Ariel paused in their transporting of the net, seeing that the other sisters were no longer in danger of the shark, but of two merman, palace guards. The mermen hadn't seen the four sisters yet, but it was only a matter of seconds. Alana shot Ariel a look, and thinking the same thing, they dropped the weighted net directly over the guards.
The guards shouted as they sank, sure to get loose with their weapons SOON, so Ariel and Alana motioned for the sisters to quickly follow.
The two sisters led the way, away from the wreckage, into the chaotic colorful reef, swimming low and out of sight.

Ariel laughed, "I can't believe we just did that Alana! They are going to be so mad. We really need to go exploring together more often. Are you all okay? I haven't see that shark but I am sure he hasn't given up so be careful."
Ariel had battled enough sharks to know they didn't give up easily.

Alana breathed. "Yeah, I'm fine... I don't want to repeat THAT again." She laughed. She liked that her little sister wanted to spend some more time with her. Ariel always rolled her eyes when she went on about hair and shiny things...but that was only ONE aspect of Alana. "But I wouldn't mind a few excursions here and there." She smirked at Ariel before swimming to catch up with the other sisters.
"Everyone all accounted for?" She asked, counting heads. "Let's get back, before those Guards catch up. I think I'd rather face the wrath of a SHARK then father if we're brought before him by those mermen!"

Adella chuckled. "Agreed! Besides, I think Attina probably feels that she's had enough adventures to last a lifetime."
She gave her older sister a gentle nudge to jest.

Alana nodded to Attina. "You're right... and we still need to get you ready!" She tried to make light of everything, even though all of the royal daughters were feeling a little shaken up after the shark encounter.
But when they reached there chambers... Triton was waiting for them.

Triton had one hand poised behind him. The other holding the Trident, blazing with his quiet anger.
"I consider myself a reasonable Merman...so when I tell you to stay within the palace walls, ESPECIALLY during this celebratory time in Attina's life... I expect my own daughters to NOT take it so lightly." His voice was low, yet it carried just the same, making all the royal daughters bow their heads as they were chided.
Triton caught sight of the bag around Ariel's arm. He pointed the Trident and the bag slid off her arm and floated over to him. He only took one brief look inside before he closed it again and met Ariel's eyes. She didn't understand the hurt that was in his aqua eyes... so he masked it with parental anger.
He dropped the bag to the ground, and made it flare up into ash with his weapon. As the ash floated up from it's spot on the floor of their chamber, he continued.
"We will talk about your little excursion... LATER." He said, jaw clenched, meeting all of their colorful eyes. "For now, assist your eldest sister. And TRY to act like what you were born to be... Princesses and protectors of the Ocean." He turned and gave a powerful swish of his mighty tail to leave.

Ariel sighed if her father knew about how many human things she actually did have she would never leave the palace again.
"Daddy doesn't understand sorry I got you all in trouble." Ariel told them it was usually her getting in trouble all by herself.
Rare when her sisters were involved, "Well I guess we have to get you ready for the party Attina." Ariel swam towards her room but she lost some of her excitement about the whole thing. Suddenly she remembered her pirate Ariel would have to sneak out and check on him, which would be even harder now.

Adella looked downtrodden as she helped Attina get ready for her coronation ceremony. "I'm sorry too. It was just as much my fault as well since I wanted Attina to have just a little adventure before becoming queen. I promised that we wouldn't get caught, that we'd be back before anyone would notice..."
She placed a hand on Attina's shoulder. "I'm sorry I couldn't keep that promise, Attina..."

"Oh, I didn't realize that you had a bag too, Attina." Alana said. "How lucky for you. Though you may want to hide it. Perhaps Ariel can take it to her far away island were it will be safe?"
Alana started humming to herself as she combed and styled Attina's hair into an elegant style with strands of pearls.
