"Almost there!" Hans announced back at the train of armed men behind his great stallion, for the THIRD time during the past hour...

Prince John gave a loud exhausted sigh- no, this was a mistake. Where ever Robin Hood was, he was long gone and The Phony King was even too disappointed in todays events to crush This simpletons kingdom- not that he wouldn't but he thought maybe after a cup of hot soup and rest in his royal chambers he would pursue his revenge.

Adorned in a distressed robe, to conceal her Robin Hood-like leather attire, and well veiled, Else took on a slouched posture... as if gnarled from dark magic use... and revealed herself from behind a great tree in a little clearing head of the armed procession.
"Welcome...Prince John of England..." She said in a gruff cackle. Else had always been the best at voice distortion and acting when telling thrilling tales to her two sisters. "I've been expecting you..."
"Bring forth the artifact..."

It took the Farmer King a second to realize that the strange old woman was talking to him. He finally gasped in realization and dismounted. He took a few strong strides towards her until the witch sharply put her hand up for him to stop.
She motioned for him to set the bow and quiver down on the blanket spread out on the ground before her, with numerous crystals and candles strewn about.

After the muscular man complied, the "seer" held out her hand for payment.
"For my troubles." she demanded.

Finally realizing what she asking for, Hans patted himself down. He NEVER carried money on him. Else was in charge of the Kingdom's gold. He looked at the grouchy Prince and shrugged.
The Seer did not look amused.

"Oh good God!" John groaned, he spurred his horse to the front of their little caravan and tossed the seer a small pouch a gold- not really caring how much was in it nor whether the seer felt it was suitable.

Else caught the purse. She made a show of opening it, taking out the coin, and letting the gold slide back into it.
I pray that Robin is getting ready for the signal at this point, Else thought to herself. She wouldn't be able to draw this out too long without the Prince getting suspicious.
She placed the purse within the fold of her robes and picked up the bow, caressing it. "This belongs to the scourge of Sherwood Forest... if I'm not mistaken...and I never am. He who would dare call you.." Else felt along the bow, as if getting her 'supernatural' answers from the wood. "...'PHONEY KING OF ENGLAND, BAH!"

Robin had kept back with a watchful eye, any moment now she thought... she spurred her horse lightly and disappeared into the wood.

"Yes, yes, but I already know that! Where is he?!?" The Phony King hissed.

"So impatient, Prince John of England..." she patronized. "One would think you, of all men would be the Prince of Patience... patiently waiting as carefully laid out plans to seize your kingdom unfolded... RIGHTFULLY, of course..." Else had only heard the RUMORS that Prince John might have had a hand in dethroning his elder brother... but after meeting the Prince in person, she assumed the rumors could very well be truth.
She only hoped that his own doubts and insecurities of the supernatural... and of a violent truth, would keep him distracted enough even now...

Robin had slid off her horse and undressed- and redressed- as quietly as she could. Once she was all put together again she crept towards her bow and quiver...
John was fairly distracted, she could tell by the look in his eye that 'The Seer' had struck a nerve, she only hoped the bastard could keep it together long enough for her to get into position. Finally Robin snatched up her things- she was ready

She couldn't carry this on for much longer. She had to act NOW.
"Where is the Robin Hood, you ask, mighty Prince?" Else slowly withdrew a single arrow from Robin's Quiver and loaded it onto the bow. She then dragged the loaded bow across the lined up candles on the blanket until it was ablaze. "Why... he is right... HERE." She suddenly stood up straight, shooting an arrow into the night sky.
As soon as the blazing arrow was above the tree tops, hidden cannons were fired, from each direction; north, south, west, and east.
Only to be answered by multiple, thunderous roars. The ground shook as the distant creatures advanced, drawn to the loud noises. Else gave a cackle and leaped up from her spot, darting into a hiding place to shed off her robes and veil, placing on a hunter's cap with a feather.
Amidst the confusion and fear of advancing Ogres, Prince John's men and their horses getting anxious, arrows started raining down from the dark, tall trees from the Queen's concealed Guardsmen. Who all happened to be sporting hunting habits with feathered caps... quite similar to the Robin Hood's.
Hans stood in confusion. He had not been briefed on this part of the plan; the loveable fool might have given the whole plot away accidentally. Else came out from the trees again, a little closer to the King.
"Husband!" she called, motioning him to come over. Hans' ears perked at her voice and he ran over.
By this time, Prince John's men were threatening retreat, without his orders, but the Ogres emerged into the clearing, flanking the small army.

Robin had positioned herself in the trees, She took out her bow and shot arrow after arrow. The men fell off their horses one after the other. It felt good to watch her Uncle be revealed as the coward he was in this frenzy.
He was shouting something that couldn't be heard above the chaos, but by the hand gestures he was giving he was ordering a full retreat. What was left of the Army flew out from the forest like bats out of hell. Robin grinned and swung down from the branches when she was sure they were gone.

Else blinked. It was over? It couldn't be OVER.
She revealed herself from behind a tree and gave Robin Hood a look. "I didn't realize the Phoney King was SUCH a coward... but this battle is far from over. If he retreats without learning a proper lesson, he'll merely send more men. My people could be at risk..."
Just a short distance away an ogre had circled back, hearing the Queen's men dismount from the trees. Without fear in her eyes she stalked towards it, laying her bow and arrows down. As the ogre got closer he raised his club, ready to crush her, but she quickly fished out a wooden pendant with a gold bird, very similar to the one she had given Robin, and held it out in front of her.
The ogre stopped, then slowly crouched, inhaling the object dangling in front of his face, and it's scent caused it's murderous look to one of recognition. The ogre allowed Else to climb up his arm and onto his back. She shot a glance at Robin. "It's AMAZING what a PEACEFUL truce can accomplish, rather than brandishing swords..." She tapped on the Ogre and he took off after the retreating army.
Hans had already mounted his steed, and grabbed Robin by the collar, hoisting her up into the saddle in front of him. The steed knew to chase after the Queen.
