"Strike us down, and you'll only be proving that your kind can be just as BARBARIC as you think all humans to be." Else shot right back.
The king seemed to close his mouth at that. But not with defeat; he merely looked too enraged to manage a coherent response back.
Else sighed to calm herself, her heart racing within her breast. "I mean no disrespect, King Triton. I understand that recently you've suffered a heart attack... I am glad to see your speedy recovery and don't wish to incite ANOTHER incident."
Okay, enough with pleasantries and brown nosing.
"We are here because, as some of you may have noticed... Ariel is acting a lot more different from her usual self. She's become apathetic, though when she DOES appear to show emotion it is rage, saying awful things that the old Ariel would have never dared to entertain to THINK about... Captain Jones noticed it upon his return back to Storybrooke, and just this morning we tried confronting her about it." She looked back at Hook, wondering if he wanted to deliver the news, thinking that maybe he SHOULD... considering everything Ariel meant to him, and how the royal ocean family needed to SEE that.

Arista went back to her father and sat next to him. They needed to hear what this Else and Hook had to say. Clearly they were worried about Ariel as well or they wouldn't be here of that Arista was sure.
"Please Father we need to help Ariel." She said quietly it seems her other sisters agreed as well. Ariel was missing from their lives and it wasn't the same with out her. If the two could shed some light on what was going on then hopefully her father would listen.

Triton's snowy brows softened as Arista pleaded with him. He would do anything to save Ariel from danger... ANYTHING... but his loathing for the Pirate in his own home was rooted so deep. His daughters could never understand. The lifetime of war, deceit, betrayal, and outright EVIL that he had seen humans bring upon his oceans... they were too naive. He was justified in his hatred. Even Athena, the compassion and tenderness of his heart... would not dare to go near that awful world. And yet Ariel had been so fascinated with it... and now she was in incredible danger because of it.
"Alright. Tell us." Triton said, eyes narrowed at this 'Queen' Else and the pirate scum. "Tell me, pirate... what new devastation have you brought upon my youngest?"

Hook crossed his arms and met the sea kings eyes, he was indeed intimidated by this man but he was going to do his best not to show it.
"Ariel has gone to Maleficent to have her heart taken out," he let that sink in for a moment, it had an enormous amount of weight to it and even he didn't take it lightly," She couldn't handle not having her love for me returned and on top of that her family had exiled her- her words-, it was the easiest way out from all the pain she'd been feeling.... But Unfortuanetly rather than removing emotion and numbing her as it usually does.... She's become.... Irritable. The kindness has gone from her but any grudge she may have hidden away or any secret qualm ha resurfaced"
Hook sighed and looked around at the mer-family," I want to help Ariel, truly, she's been a better friend than I ever deserved. Else and I came to you because we knew you would be her best chance. Even if it meant for me being disintegrated the moment I step foot into your domain"

"Oh that option isn't out YET, pirate..." The Ocean King said. He then stood to his full height and approached Hook. "She was never exiled... NEVER... I would NEVER do that to my own flesh and blood. She was too ashamed to approach me because of her allegiance to YOU. You... who had her so wrapped around your hook, and tossed her away... all for revenge."
The King took another step closer. "Yes... since my time in the hospital I have been caught up to speed on Captain Hook's vendetta with the Dark One." It was amazing the clarity of his thought, being so enraged. It was when he was calm and tender that his two lives started to mix and muddle up in his brain. But not now... poker hot clarity seared itself into him so he could face the man who shamed his daughter and drove her to take her heart out. "I could have saved her the trouble by telling her that humans cling tighter to revenge then they do love... but she only came to me AFTER you cast her aside, leaving her alone."
"How DARE you tarnish her... knowing it will never go any farther than JUST THAT..."

Else had been so proud of Hook, feeling for him, wishing that Ariel could have heard these true words, pride swallowed...
And then Triton started back on him. She actually held a hand up, in case he would go for the trident, but he didn't. He instead cut with his words. Words of a jilted parent confronting supposed corrupter, but still rather harsh.
ALL humans?
"And you DON'T have revenge on the brain?" Else shot back, forgetting she was addressing a powerful king. "This... ALL HUMANS ARE EVIL nonsense! I get it... SOMETHING happened to give you this opinion. It's hard to change that once you have it... but we're not asking for FORGIVENESS for the human race... we are asking for your help to save ARIEL. YOUR DAUGHTER. Whom we ALL LOVE. So why don't we push this 'whose revenge is more devastating' shit to the side... because IT ALL IS DEVASTATING. LOOK WHAT IT DID TO ARIEL! My gods! LOOK AT YOU TWO!"
It was odd that ELSE had come to keep Hook on track and calm, and yet she found that he was placing a hand on her shoulder to keep HER calm. Her hormones were getting the best of her. All she could feel was URGENCY to save Ariel's heart and yelling, at the moment, seemed like the best way to accomplish it.

Arista watched the battle between Hook and her father. "Else is right we need to help Ariel this isn't about anything else!" She came forward.

Hook nodded," This is about Ariel, not me or you, as soon as this is over you are more than welcome to hate me to your hearts content..... I have no pans to allow Ariel to be hurt by myself again"
Else had nearly blown a fuse with that last comment, he didn't want her to faint again like she had when he came to dinner that night- it seemed everyone he came in contact with only got hurt from being in his presence.
"Your daughter needs you more than anything else, she's made plenty of mistakes and I'm to blame for a good many of them. But in the end she's still YOUR daughter, please...." he looked at him," for her"

Alana looked down at the Trident in her hands. They were right. Nothing mattered... nothing but saving Ariel. There was a time that Alana was willing to lay down her own life just for Ariel's chance at true happiness. This was no different.
...And if she wanted to take a chainsaw to Hook's penis LATER for breaking her little sister's heart, well then... she would just have to revisit that... BUT LATER.
She looked over to her father and held out the weapon to him.

Triton accepted the Trident, and it glowed even brighter in his hands. He hadn't dared touched it, even when they found it in the storage room...
But now he felt its magic flowing through him. He closed his eyes a moment to focus, it was overwhelming, but then he remembered how to weild it. When his eyes snapped open, his eyes were bright aqua, clearest they had been since arriving in Storybrooke.
"Where is this... 'Maleficent'." Triton demanded; he spoke the wicked name as if it was an obscene curse word.

"She has an apartment on the east side of Storybrooke," He'd never been there before, but she had mentioned it during one of their romps in her car. Oh boy, would THAT ever go over well if Triton found out The Captain had slept with the woman who took his daughters heart.... he'd have to be sure to avoid him at all costs when this was over....
"But she usually has lunch at the diner in town... something about this bubbly drink she favors so much...."

Triton narrowed his eyes at the man; intimate knowledge for such a horrid adversary. Triton would be sure to confront him on that later.
"Then lead the way. To this... diner." Triton said. The woman 'Else', compared to her raging temper just a few moments ago, now looked overjoyed that the two were were working together.

"I'm coming too." Alana said. grabbing a jacket to put over her tank top. "I've had a run in with Maleficent... a few actually. I have some words for her." She said. "And to put a boot up her ass..." She added grudgingly.
Triton was looking at her; she could tell he wanted to know what she meant. "It's a long story, one we don't have time for right now." And she didn't want to tell him about Eric. That would just add a WHOLE OTHER dimension of problems that they just didn't need at the moment.

Arista got up, "Me too I want to be there for Ariel!" Arista followed Alana out the door.

The car ride over to Granny's was awkward to say the LEAST. Thank goodness she had brought the mini van. Hook was up front with her, while Triton sat between his daughters.
"Does anyone need air back there?" Else asked. "No... okay." It was so tense in the car. "You have LOVELY daughters, Triton. Every single one of them. Right Captain Jones?" Triton shot a glare in Hook's direction. Right... probably not the right topic choice of conversation.
"Oh look; we're here." Else said. "Thank the gods..." She muttered under her breath.
