Dee was making her way though the woods she was smoking yet again and while she was actually trying to actively quit it was hard. It had been a week and she hadn't seen or heard from Toby she was actually worried but sure he was off licking his wounds.
However being Alpha was settling rather well for her. People were already coming to her with all sorts of questions which she was able to answer but she still needed a beta Martyn was more then happy to fill that position. Still if he didn't live up to it should would knock him back down. She warned him of this in the nicest possible way.
Dee thought she heard a noise and was a bit shocked when she found Toby in the woods sitting on a tree stump.
"Hey..." She had no idea what else to say to him. Half thinking he would challenge her again on the next full moon.
"You missed the last pack meeting..."

He could smell her scent even before she was in view. The thought about storming away; she was the last person he wanted to see right now. But he sat, massaging his healing shoulder.
Tobias had stolen a hatchet from an abandoned cabin in the woods. It apparently belonged to Mr. Gold, and he didn't want to get tangled up with the Dark One, but he did need to be able to make firewood. He had been in the middle of this process when he felt the sharp pain to his shoulder. Werewolves heal quickly, but his wound had been too severe that the scar tissue across his muscles pulled and tightened in unpleasant ways. It was then that he realized that even if he transformed, he wouldn't be the same; he wouldn't be able to keep up with the other packmates even if he tried.
That realization had stung his pride a bit. He sat down to gather himself, not realizing how much time was passing.... and then there she was. Delilah: the new Alpha leader, who had done this to him...
His dark eyes flashed up at her. "I didn't 'miss' the meeting..." He said gruffly. "...I AVOIDED it on purpose. He snatched his black tank top up from the ground and roughly pulled it down over his shoulders.

She shot him a look, "Your still apart of this pack Tobias." She said eyeing the fire wood.
"Are you living out here now?" She asked how far had he fallen? She wondered he lost his cocky attitude and looked less then please to see her.
"Because you know there is always room at any of the cabins Toby. I know I hurt you... I don't mean physically either well look I suck at this shit. I am sorry I am sorry you were so crazy that I felt the only way you weren't going to destroy the pack was to almost get myself killed. I am sorry you feel like you lost trust in me but you are not blameless in this. I did the only thing I could to survive Tobias."

He went right up to her, barring his teeth. "The ONLY thing I'm upset about is that you won by DEFAULT, Delilah. You didn't EARN it... the ground gave way, and I got hurt. You can't take credit for ANY of it." He eased away. "So as far as I'm concerned, you're NOT the Alpha. Even if all those soft-brained followers of yours believe you are."
He picked up the hatchet and fiddled with it before bringing it down on the stump. He leaned up against a tree. "What do you WANT, Delilah?"

"Oh well then that's totally different..." Her voice dripped with sarcasm, "No I don't think so you don't know how that fight would have ended and would you have felt good if you killed me?" Dee was suddenly pissed off.
"What I want is to make sure your okay! I don't care what you think I am Alpha now in accordance with the laws of our people the only thing I didn't do in following your rules is I allowed you to live! So maybe you should thank me for that because I am very sure if the roles were reversed I would be in my grave right now!" She spat as she felt anger fill her how dare he...

"Death would have been PREFERABLE, Delilah! But you don't seem to grasp that!" He bit back. "Instead you're content to leave me half the wolf I was... to hobble around lamely for the rest of my life. I wouldn't have been so heartless with YOU."
He turned his back on her, stacking the wood roughly, slamming down the pieces before covering it with a tarp. "I'm too slow to play the warrior that I was, and too much bite to be content with a quiet life. This isn't living, Delilah." His tone was harsh... but for Tobias, it was very much the confession of a broken man. "And then to ADD injury to insult, you let that new twit doctor friend of yours lay his hands on me!"

"Why you stubborn wolf! Get over yourself! I've had it with the poor Tobias crap! I care about you I don't care if you believe that or not. I couldn't let you die..." Her voice softened.
Dee walked over to him, "I can't hear that you would rather be dead please don't say that Toby. I am sorry I never met things to end up this way and maybe one day you will understand that. In the mean time I am your Alpha and you will have to accept that."

He roughly pulled his shoulder away from her grasp. "You are NOT MY ALPHA. Why do you think I'm out here? Far away from the pack? I've broken my oath and broken away."
"It's EXACTLY this kind of 'tenderness' of yours that makes you so ill-suited for the job! Do you really think it's going to help you when you are challenged next time? And YES, there WILL be a next time. Everyone may seem content now... but some asshole, like me apparently, will ALWAYS surface, not content with toeing the line. They won't show restraint just because you were merciful in your leadership. They will take you down like the wolves that we are!"

Dee flinched at his words, "You know what if your not part of my pack then your a rival." Dee grabbed the hatchet out of the tree coming just close enough to press herself close to him. She pulled away turning her back on him and she spun quickly throwing the hatchet into the tree next to him. It was enough to make him jump.
"DON'T TEST ME!" She snapped at him, "I wont stand by while someone challenges my pack and my family. So just don't I will fight anyone who dares to challenge me!" Dee told him as she circled him coldly.

The action had been sudden, it did take him by surprise. But he then narrowed his eyes.
He wasn't challenging her... only her ability to lead... but this new territorial possession of her new status made him smirk inwardly. Maybe she would do fine... she would need it to survive. Maybe he could be practice. If she could kill HIM, someone she claimed to care about, there was no doubt she would be able to take care of other challenges.
And hopefully she might KILL him this time. He was, after all, at a severe disadvantage.
"Don't hold back this time..." He growled lowly, meeting her threatening gaze with his own.

Dee growled back, "I don't intend to!" She came at him struggling it was odd to do this in her human form. They had sparred before in practice a few times.
She was able to toss him to the ground hard. "I don't like being tested Toby!" She spat.

He was on the ground. His anger was much stronger then his body; it was still not one hundred percent. He swept his leg, bringing her down to his level. He was on top of her, jerking her hair back, trying to pin her hands above her, but she punched him in his bad shoulder.
He let out a yell of pain and she gave an uppercut to his chin. He fell back, clutching his arm.

"So soon Toby? I'm just getting started!" Dee said crouching low and ready to pounce on him again.
She narrowly avoided a punch to her face. "Damn it Toby!" She yelled rolling away before pouncing on him pinning him down.

He was on his back with a grunt. "Oh you bitch...." He breathed, worn out. "Well? Don't stop!" She was just pinning him down, looking at him. Slight... GRIN on her face??? Was she ENJOYING this? "I thought you weren't going to hold back!" He tried bucking her off of his front, but she was fastened on tight. That shouldn't have surprised him in the least...
When they slept together, it was hard to pry her away from there.
He shook his head. Now was not the time for that. But he could feel her heat, radiating off of her... the inner wolf sending signals to his. And his was whining to obey. He snarled at her. "What are you DOING! Finish what we started!"

Dee tried to ignore how much this was beginning to turn her on. The moment of his hips was not helping in the least.
"Damn it Toby!" She yelled, "I wasn't planning on holding back...anything." Dee told him running her hand down his chest.
"Your not going anywhere Toby..." She tighten her legs around him.
