"I... usually have a very strict diet." And pancakes are evil. "I think... green tea... but I don't wish to inconvenience you." He tried to get up, but he fell back down. His insides felt as though they were sloshing around whenever he moved. "Yes... I think green tea... Leaves are in a pouch, in the refrigerator; labeled 'lǜchá'... two Chinese characters... the second looking like a house with a lizard above it." He hoped that would help her, considering he had meany tea leaf samples in his fridge labeled in Chinese.
"It is already dried..." He laid his head back down, not wanting to go into a long ceremonial process of prepping it. Perhaps just this once he could skip ceremony. His ancestors couldn't hold THAT against him. If so, it seemed rather petty, considering his insides were killing him...

Ariel knelt beside him, "Sheng you could have told me that. We could have ate anywhere else. I am so sorry and of course I will make you tea." Ariel got up she actually was able to find the right label she made the tea it actually smelled really good.
Ariel brought the tea back to Sheng who was still looking like he might be in a bit of pain. "Here try this maybe it will help." Ariel helped him sit up to sip the tea. Ariel was rather good at taking care of sick people and Sheng was already easier then Killian.
She grabbed him a pillow off one of the chairs and sat down next to him. "Just relax you will feel better soon." Ariel brushed the hair out of his eyes with out thinking.

Sheng looked up into her eyes at that contact. Not used to it; people in his culture did not show that kind of affection to one another unless they had known the person for a very long time.
...But... it was not offensive. Not in this moment. It was... nice. He sipped the tea. He could tell it was prepared in a completely different manner then what he was used to, but she did a fine job considering. "Thank you, Měirényú. It feels good."
"If you have somewhere to be, I would understand if you wanted to leave. I can handle it from here." He said, but he looked up from his cup, dark eyes glancing up shyly at her. "But... I wouldn't mind if you would stay..."

Ariel smiled at him, he was so... she didn't know wonderful, cute, shy?? He was really cute okay her sister Arista had told her Ariel thought the exact words were 'a total hottie' Ariel got it she really did Arista was right Sheng wasn't like any guy she had ever met.
"Of course I will stay I want to make sure you feel better." Ariel told him. She liked his nickname for her it was sweet. "If you need anything just let me know. I could tell you a story maybe that would take your mind off of your pain?" Ariel asked she had a few stories about being a mermaid.

"I would love to hear them." Stories enriched the life-blood of existence. He resisted the urge to sit up and cross his legs, for his stomach would not permit it, so he propped his head up with a foam roll and bent a leg. The more she talked, the less she paid attention to personal space. She placed her elbow on his knee at one point, leaning into his leg as she talked, running her other hand through her hair.
It was harmless; she was just that comfortable talking to him, like she would a friend. It didn't become super noticeable to him until she was running out of things to talk about.
"So... your father was a stern man?" Sheng supplied, to keep her talking. He liked the sound of her voice; pleasant... like wind chimes in a breeze. "Did your sisters feel the same? About the Human world, I mean?"

Ariel looked back at Sheng, how long was she talking about just anything? She would do this all the time not good at being quiet.
"Well some were, my sister Adella was curious about the human world my other sisters wanted nothing to do with it I think Attina was on the fence. I was usually the odd one out. I do admit it caused me to get in trouble more then once. Though its not my fathers fault he has his reasons for hating humans I just wish now that he actually is one he might calm down a bit. It doesn't seem as if that't the case though." Ariel told him she wondered if this was actually helping him feel any better.
"Sorry, I get carried away with talking sometimes are you feeling any better? Should I get you more tea?"

"I am...actually. I'm sure it was your stories... as well as the tea." Sheng nodded, as if this were fact. I will come with you. I fear I have been a terrible host." He struggled to get up.

Ariel assisted him the best she could her hand on his warm back.
"It's not a problem I am just glad you feel better. Maybe you can show me the way you like your tea?" Ariel asked once he was sitting up. She rose to her feet carefully brushing her hair back from her face.

Sheng let her help him, though he didn't like appearing so weak in front of her. In front of anyone, for that matter. He followed her lead and talked about tea ceremonies and procedure, but he stopped... huffing lightly. "But I'm sure you don't want to hear all about that. How you made it is fine..."
He looked at the clock; had she really been there for TWO HOURS? Time had seemed to fly. He truly did enjoy her company. "Can I offer you anything? You didn't get a chance to finish your waffles... are you hungry?"

"Oh no it was enough trust me. I will take a cup of tea though." Ariel smiled. "I like hearing about your customs so don't worry about that. We had our own under the sea as well." Ariel watched him make tea it was almost an art like a dance.
He was perfectly graceful and she had never seen anyone move like him. It was like when he showed her the moments with the ball.
"I am glad your feeling better, if we ever do this again we can eat food your more accustomed to." Ariel said part of her wondered if he would ask her to dine with him again.
