Li had herbal remedies at home that would be MUCH more effective... even if it WAS a serious cut... but Ariel seemed so determined to help him. To repay him. He wanted to tell her there was no debt, but he found himself taking a seat next to her, offering her his hand.
"It is the honorable thing to do." He answered. He then looked around at the sparse apartment. "Is there anyone you can call? Maybe someone should stay with you... if you feel shaken?" He asked.
He heard someone in the pile groan, slowly coming to. Li grabbed up the remote on the coffee table and threw it at the man's head perfectly. The man fell back unconscious. Li looked back at Ariel, then feeling bad that he might have broken the remote.
"...Sorry." He said simply, blinking his dark eyes.

"Oh I am sure I will be fine, I've handled worse then a few robbers before. Well not alone anyway I am sure if I can fix my lock I will be okay." Ariel told him cleaning his wound she was brought back to the moment in Whale's bathroom when she first got here.
She had learned so much since then so many hard lessons and so much growing. Ariel put a small band aid on the cut.
Ariel stifled a laugh when her remote when sailing into the robbers skull. "Don't worry about it I mean who steals a TV anymore? Its not even a nice one? Honestly I am really happy you decided to bring me back that music I don't know what I would have done if you weren't here. It could have been really bad."

"It must have been fate." Sheng nodded, watching her wrap his hand, and then meeting her eyes. He had never seen such eyes before. Eyes were the window to the soul... and hers were deep pools of Aqua. Sheng looked away before the heat could rise to his cheeks. He was skilled at defusing such reactions. He had to... or risk distractions in the thick of battle that could have dire consequences.
"I will wait until the sheriff comes... just to be sure..."

Ariel smiled at him, "That might be a good idea in case one on them comes to. Still I wish there was some way I could repay you. I'm afraid my skill set is rather limited to singing." Ariel laughed.
"So cooking you a dinner or baking you a pie isn't really with in my range... oh but what about joining me at Grannies? Its the least I can do after you beat up three robbers in the middle of my apartment. Then you will at least know the pie is good and I wont burn down my apartment trying to make it." Ariel smiled to show him she was kidding well maybe not Ariel really didn't have the best results with cooking.

Sheng went out of his way to grin, which was a very rare thing to see.
"There is no debt, Ariel..." He assured her. "But if you insist... I would very much enjoy a meal with you. Perhaps... breakfast? Tomorrow? At this 'Granny's'." He scratched the back of his head. "I'm afraid I have never ventured in there. It's a few blocks down from the library, right? Attached to the Storybrooke Inn, yes?"

"You honestly have never been to Grannies? I thought every one in this town has been there. Honestly I am rather new to the town so that was just a guess. Yes its attached to the Inn and breakfast sounds great." Ariel smiled at him, he was rather cute and she was very grateful to him for saving her.

Sheriff Swan did finally arrive, and while Sheng dragged the bodies to the car, she questioned Ariel about the incident. It was a rather short interview, with all the intruders THERE and hogtied already, and with another witness to support Ariel's claims, there was no question. She finally bid the mermaid goodnight.
Sheng had hung around, standing at the entrance of the door, to make sure Ariel was alright, but she seemed fairly confident despite everything that had happened. She was brave.
He watched the Sheriff leave, giving a polite nod and then walked over to Ariel. "I will see you tomorrow? Six am?" He saw Ariel's face go from calm to horror so quickly. He couldn't help but give a laugh. "Right... not everyone wakes up with the sun like I do. How about nine thirty?" He asked.

Ariel laughed, "Well I used to get up with the sun but singing at a club until 1 am rather ended that. Yes that sounds great thank you again Sheng." Ariel said "have a good night."
Once he left Ariel cleaned up her Apartment a bit before taking a long shower. She had to call in to the club and just let the band play tonight since it took so long to sort everything out.
The next morning Ariel got up early she was actually pretty excited about seeing Sheng again. She put on her favorite teal skirt and black lacy tank top with a small jacket to cover her. Finishing it off with pearl earrings and flashy necklace. She put her hair down leaving it to curl slightly around her shoulders something it never did as a mermaid but Ariel rather liked her hair having a bit of curl. One thing Ariel could say about this world was the clothes were amazing. Ariel had a closet full of them to prove it. She grabbed her purse and was out the door.

Sheng was already at the diner. Fifteen minutes before their set time. He had already done his morning jog, workout, meditation, and shower... now he was just waiting for Ariel. The warrior in him was disgusted with the fact that she was probably going to show up ON TIME, not BEFORE, meaning that this activity was obviously not very high on her priority list.
...But then he had to remind himself it was a DATE... or rather a "thank you" meal... and that this culture was more laid back in congregating for said activities. He let out a breath. She was not out to insult him... he needed to... 'chill'.
He spun the little salt and pepper shakers in their place as he was waiting for the last five minutes to pass.

Ariel walked in the diner looking for Sheng he was sitting at the back booth. Ariel walked over, "Hi so nice to see you again Sheng" Ariel said sitting down.
"So did you get a chance to look at the menu? The food here is really good."

Sheng blinked at her. He didn't smile often, but he gave her a relaxed look... which he felt should denote that he was content. He nodded and looked down at the menu in front of him. EVERYTHING ON IT... was stuff that he shouldn't eat. He had a strict, mundane diet, forged for optimum physical performance...
But Ariel looked so happy... he didn't want to be rude. He flashed her a rare grin.
He placed the menu down. "I think I will try the pancakes... with the side of..." Dear Buddha, NOT BACON. "...sausage?" He said it as if it were foreign to him, not really knowing what it was. He knew what BACON was, however... And knew to stay away from it's crispy greasiness.
"What will you have?"

Ariel looked over the menu, "Well I am not sure probably waffles. I am really glad you came here its the least I can do after you saving me last night." Ariel told him taking a sip of her water.

He nodded. "As I have said, there is no debt." He gave her a reassuring look. "A warrior's reward is knowing that he has helped the less fortunate..." He looked down at the water that 'Ruby' had placed before him as he had waited for Ariel. He lifted up the glass to see a liquid ring under it.
"Well... I guess it's different now. I'm not a warrior anymore.." He looked up to her, smiling politely. "But I was glad to be at the right place at the right time. Is THAT why you sought out my class?" He quirked a small smile.

"Well kinda I don't have any fighting stills what so ever and Arista my sister told me working late at night it would be better if I could some what defend myself." Ariel admitted.
"I was raised a princess so I really didn't have a use for it. My kingdom being under the sea and perfectly safe most of the time." Ariel stopped herself, "Sorry I was a mermaid that might explain it a little more. I am hoping to learn just enough to protect me should one of the men who harass me at the club try anything as I'm walking home. Does that make sense?"
Ariel felt like she was probably talking way to much she took a drink of her water. She would never understand these dates... but this wasn't a date so she could probably calm down.

"A mermaid?" He looked up at her, interested. "In my country, they are called 'Měirényú'," He said. "...Meaning 'beautiful human fish'..." He grinned over at her. "It is accurate." He looked down, not seeing that she was reacting to his compliment. "Everyone has a need for the defensive arts... everyone who has something to protect; EVEN a mermaid I'm sure."
"I'll make sure that you feel safe... one shouldn't have to live in fear of 'what if'."
