His smile became a bit more forced, how could she possibly know what that feels like? There was still so much of his life he just... hadn't told Ariel. Good and bad. But her intentions were good. And at least she wanted melody to eventually see that part of them
"I think... I think I'll turn in tonight," He sighed

Ariel let go of him when he spoke he sounded upset at least she thought he did. She stood backing up from him, "I just wish you could talk to me Killian..." She knew better he never opened up to her more then a little and Ariel always respected that. Now he expected her to leave behind everything and take her daughter as well. It was a lot to take in.
She turned, "Alright then..." There was no point in arguing with him but Ariel couldn't deny she was hurt by it. She wanted to keep him so close to her but he was so good at pushing her away. She closed her eyes willing herself not to cry and made her way into the bedroom.
Ariel got dressed for bed quietly she was to drained to do anything else and what she wanted was a night in with Killian but it was clear his mind was on something else. He still didn't admit his feelings to her and Ariel wondered if he ever would.
Was it enough for her to be with him and never know his true feelings. To love him more then he could ever love her? Part of it didn't matter because she would do what was best for Melody no matter what. She had a person who needed her and Ariel would never love anyone more then her daughter. Still it hurt as much as she tried to hide it, to give Killian everything he could want she couldn't give him what he truly craved.
She sat on the edge of the bed brushing her hair ignoring the tears she hated crying. She was worried about so much now even though all of this was buried at the back of her mind she didn't have to face it until now.

It was hard, he didn't want to see her cry. It was why he didn't want to say anything in the first place really, but now he could see with this tension between them it would be awhile till things settled. He pushed open the door, wearing only a pair of boxer briefs and slid onto the ed next to her.
She brought his arms around her and kissed her shoulder tenderly," I'm sorry Love, we'll work it out, one way or another we'll find a way"

Ariel didn't face him but she pulled him closer her hand over his, "I know we will we always do." Ariel wanted so much to tell him all her fears but would he even understand them?
"Killian... why do you want to go back? Do you miss the sea? The adventure? What?" She asked Ariel had the same feelings of loss she missed her family and her home. If he wanted to go back so much she would go as well. Still she was conflicted.

"I miss all of it..." he admitted," I feel so out of place here, this world was never somewhere I planned to be for the rest of my life. I'm only here for you and Melody, an that's enough.. but someday I want to return for all those reasons"

Ariel turned then meeting his eyes her face inches from his. "Well can I think about it? I mean I... know you gave up a lot to stay with me. Actually I never thought you would this world... it's not what you want. I know that I've always known it. So just give me a bit of time Killian its all I ask and if there comes a moment where we are forced to choose then at least I'll have looked at both sides." She wanted to give him more but couldn't.
Ariel wasn't sure what she would do if she wanted to stay. Would he stay with her and slowly grow to hate her for making him make this choice? Then again if going back put Melody in danger Ariel might blame him for making them go back. It was a hard choice though it was clear which one to choose. She needed to be with her family and that was going back.
"For now though can you just... kiss me?" She asked just wanting to know he was there for her. Ariel ran a hand though his dark hair and wondered how she got lucky enough for him to stay. Also more so him giving her Melody Ariel knew no matter what she would never take his daughter from him.

Hook smiled and leaned in to press his lips against hers. She was so tender, he hated putting her in this position... it was uncomfortable no matter what you did.
But he still loved her, and he believed if anything for Melody's sake, they would work it out. He caressed her cheek and kissed her till she was breathless, then slowly moved down her neck placing more kisses along her soft skin.

Ariel ran her hands down his back kissing him how long at it been since they did this? Weeks? She didn't know she only knew she missed him. They had always been really good at this Ariel kissed him back. She loved him and was glad they had a moment together.
She moaned softly before leaning to place kisses on his chest and neck. Her hands ran though his hair, "Killain..." She was going to say more but the moment was broken with Melody screaming from her room.
Ariel shot up, "Melody?"

Before another moment could pass Hook threw off the covers and ran into her room, quickly followed by Ariel.
"Love! Melody," he opened the door and ran to her bedside," Melody, what's wrong? It's alright love it's alright..." he moved into the bed to comfort a thrashing screaming Melody, who only seemed to wake at her parent's touch.
'She's gonna get me! She's gonna get me!'- Was all he could make up before she simmered down, he hushed her and stroked her hair as she clung to his chest.

Ariel was right behind him she followed him into Melody's room watching as Melody cried out and swung her little fist in the air. she sat down on the bed next to her.
Ariel reached out to her trying to calm her down Melody kept screaming someone was going to get her. She felt ice cold fear rush though her body at those words. Melody settled clinging on to Killian as he stoked her hair.
Ariel looked at him, "I don't like the sound of that... who is she afraid of? She is to young for such vivid nightmares." Ariel had about a million thing coursing though her head at that point.
"Maybe I'm over reacting?" She added but Ariel didn't think so her daughter was terrified and she had no clue why. She scooted closer to Killian placing a small kiss on Melody's head.
"Your save now my song." She met Killian's eyes wondering if he thought it was as strange as she did.

It was certainly odd.... Hook might have inquired more about this dream, but Melody had tucked herself into his chest, saying she wanted to sleep in mommy and daddy's bed.
Killian scooped her up and carried her into their bedroom, and he and Ariel cuddled her in the center till she was asleep again He looked over at Ariel, they were both still worried, he could see it in her face and there was no denying it in herself.
"Ariel... who do you think 'her' could be referring to?"

Ariel ran her fingers though Melody's dark curly hair she was thankful when her little girl finally closed her aqua blue eyes.
"I been thinking about it there are a few people I can think of. Still coming to her in her dreams? I don't think these are regular dreams Killian, she comes from magic there is a chance she is actually seeing a threat. It scares me though why? and who? What can we do?"
Ariel took a breath cuddling closer to Melody and Killian.
"She is so young to know the things she knows anyway. There's not denying how smart she is but what if she is magic to? How can we help her?" Ariel was worried if they went back would it be better or worse for Melody and she felt helpless. "I wish my father was still alive he might know though as far as I know mermaid's don't often have human children so maybe he wouldn't know..."
"Tomorrow I will go ask Else and Tobias they both have children here maybe there is something they can tell me I don't know. Its worth a try at least." Ariel looked back at Melody.
It was strange but Melody always responded to Killian more than her and Ariel was still trying to figure out why. Killian was Melody's world her rock and Ariel wondered if it was her she still had no idea. She wouldn't change it though if Killian ever left she wondered how Melody would react and did he see it like she did? It was just another thing they didn't talk about.

"I doubt very much that she isn't magical.... given her mothers blood line," It would explain how perceptive she often was,"Perhaps contacting your father wouldn't be a bad thought..."
Though going there in person would be better. But Killian wouldn't push it, not with using their daughter as incentive.
"There's a chance that these are just 'bad dreams', something she saw on the television or something, but I think it's like you said, she's far to young... I'll stay a little longer tomorrow morning and have breakfast with her. She might open up more about her dreams and we'll get a better idea what is going on"

Ariel sighed, "Your right I think that's a good idea you stay with her if there is anyone she will talk to its you. I will go talk to our friends and see what they think about transferring of magic to their children Toby and Dee might be able to tell me more then Else at any rate. In the meantime it might not be a bad idea to get the Jolly Rodger ready, if we do have to leave for any reason Melody needs a room and it might not be a bad idea to pack extra food that wont spoil." Ariel admitted.
If they were going to leave then she would be damn prepared. Ariel had other idea's of things she would pack on the ship should it come to that.
"There is nothing I wont do to keep her safe I am sure you feel the same way Killian if she is in danger here then we will go somewhere we can keep her safe. I am worried about the implications of her dreams if they continue."
Ariel knew without a doubt she would die, bleed or give up her very soul to protect her child. If she had to leave Storybrooke well it was a small price to pay. Melody shifted in her sleep her little hand grabbed Ariel's hair but she stayed still.

He nodded slowly and kissed the top of her head,"Alright.... for now, we should sleep. Melody is safe with us for the time being" He offered her a reassuring smile and turned out the bedside light.
He fept an arm around his girls as they started to drift off, had it not been about Melody he would have been happier about possibly leaving storybrooke. But with her being tormented by dreams... it wasn't something he could celebrate. Still, at the same time he was tickled by the idea of having breakfast with his daughter and then taking her on his ship to start working on a room.
With Melody and Ariel by his side he slept well, and in the morning Hook made a point to slip out of bed early and made breakfast for his little family. Yes, he actually managed to make, eggs, toast and even a few non-burnt pancakes- something Ariel had put hours of practice with him so he could learn.
