Whale could only smile at her tenderly. He truly loved this woman. He laid his head down on the flimsy pillow of the prison bed and looked at her. They laid in silence, not in awkwardness, but simply enjoying each others presence... clasping hands, caressing arms, exchanging looks... until they both started drifting off to sleep after such an eventful night.
Victor dreamed that he was a wolf... with fur dark as night... or perhaps it was Red's dream... but he, or she, was running out in broad daylight, in a wide expanse of wildflowers that Victor remembered from his childhood...
The dream was interrupted by heavy bars sliding and jolting the cell. Whale awoke, startled, realizing he was still clutching Ruby's hand. And his hand was asleep as a result of it.

"Up and at em." David announced. "You're shift starts in fifteen, Whale. Ruby...I'm sorry but-" Granny stepped out from behind the Prince, glaring.

"I'll be waiting in the car." Granny said, rage hidden in her curt tone. She eyed Victor and huffed before turning on her heel, stalking out.

Red cringed a little at Granny's tone, she knew she'd be in for a LONG, loud and uncomfortable talk with the woman. She slid out of bed and walked out of the cell. She looked over at Whale.
She went over and wrapped her arms around him, placing her head on his chest, it was a very safe hug,"I'll see you after work Victor..."
then broke away to get in the car with an infuriated Granny

Once her granddaughter was in the car, Granny started the car and took off. Without. A. Word.
... Red was sure to open her mouth with excuses any moment, anyways...

For what seemed like forever Red just sat quietly, leaning against the car window. Silence never did feel right to her though, so in another moment she opened her mouth and started spilling- just as she always felt she needed to
"I didn't mean for any if this to go like it did... Really, I don't know what happened, I just got caught up in the moment and.... God, I think I might have ruined Victors career..." She squeezed her eyes shut,"... But ever since he recovered from the fever... I can't stop thinking about him!"
Ruby was about to go onto how she was innocent, and she couldn't help what happened in the restaurant, but really... That wasn't right either," I... I shouldn't have pushed him... This is all my fault"

Granny concealed her slight grin by clenching her jaw. She was glad Red was owning up to the travesty that was last night... But even the old woman knew the primal urges of the Mark was much more powerful then one can handle. Especially in it's early stages.
Only for the old werewolf, she was disgusted by the monster that had killed her father and brothers. But the bond forced her into compliance, against her will, once she was old enough for mating. Granny was glad that the strong feelings between the Red and Whale were at least mutual.
"You two need to get this thing the hell under CONTROL, Red!" She lectured. "Goodness, there was a time that you wanted to sleep with every eligible bachelor in TOWN, but now you can't handle getting into ONE MAN'S PANTS without disaster occurring???"
Red's mouth opened in shock.
"AFTER your shift today, on this sure to be busy Friday, WITHOUT BREAKS..." Granny began. "...You two will take one of the rooms at the Inn and GET IT OUT OF YOUR SYSTEMS. Do I make myself CLEAR? I run a family friendly diner, Red. Can't loose business over you wanting to jump the man's bones every time you SEE him..." Good gods; the girl might lay him down at one of the booths over a customer's pancakes one of these days!

Oh god, this was so painfully embarrassing. Red sat there and listened to her Grandmother rant, wishing she could just black out or something for a little. Then she heard the tail end about getting a room at the end.
Red looked up at her a little surprised Granny would... support this. Then again she of al people would know what Red was going through with her mate. Red nodded slowly," Alright, no breaks, and we'll take the Honey-moon suite tonight...."
Red suppressed a smile, knowing she was lucky to get this little mercy from granny- she didn't want to spoil it. And when her shift was done Red would make damn sure she didn't mess this up again.

Whale stretched his neck and shoulders, walking down the hallway. He luckily had a change of clothes at work and was able to fit in a quick shower in the employee bathroom during lunch, so he felt somewhat rejuvenated. Only about five more hours to go. His cell vibrated at his belt; he saw it was a text from Ruby.
"I've got a surprise for you, meet me at the Inn, I'll be on the third floor room 102." It said... proceeded by about six hearts and a winking smiley face.
Whale grinned, feeling infinantly better about where this day was headed.

There. Everything was set. There were rose petals in the Jacuzzi, rose petals on the table, rose petals on the ... well, everything, there were also candles... on everything. She had gotten a large assortment of cherries, raspberries, and strawberries all ready on the table with the chocolate fondue. She even managed to find a few 'mood' CD's she could play over the CD player if that's what they wanted.
Red was wearing her favorite little corset, red pumps and stockings- they all matched.
After all of this on top of her day at work Ruby was glad she had a little time to sit.... she took a seat on the waterbed- yes a waterbed, she hoped Victor wouldn't think it was silly... it's just... they were fun. The whole thing might have looked over done, but dammit this was happening tonight!

Whale arrived at the end after work, which was after 8, surprisingly. He adjusted his tie, but then ripped it off completely, unbuttoning the top two buttons of his shirt. He went in.
Awkwardly, Granny was at the desk retrieving something. When she saw him, she straightened up, eyes narrowed at him. He gave a polite nod with a nervous "Hey" and continued on his way when he heard her call out to him.
"CONDOMS ARE IN THE BED STAND DRAWER." She yelled.
Whale's ears burned with embarrassment. Victor continued up the stairs, head down.

Ruby could hardly stand it anymore, she needed to do something to keep her mind off of the wait. She went over and poured a couple of glasses of wine when she heard a knock at the door. She grinned and immediately went over to the door.
She was about to throw it open, but she stopped," whoooo is iiiiiiit?" She sang and giggled

All the embarrassment from downstairs seemed to melt away. Red had something planned... he could sense her excitement and anticipation through the door. "The Big Bad Wolf... come to rip all your close off. Let me in." SO CORNY, but it was met with a giggle.
Meanwhile a family was walking by. The mother covered her son's ears and gave Whale a dirty look.
"Oh... uh... I'm sorry-" The door opened and he was pulled in by two graceful... but STRONG... hands. Each manicured finger nail adorned with scandalously red polish.

FINALLY! She pulled him in and shut the door behind them with her foot. Red lept into his arms and kissed him fiercely, running her fingers through his blonde hair. Her legs wrapped around his waist, though she had to be mindful of her stiletto heels. She paused a moment but kept her lips close to his,"I missed you Doctor..."
Once Victor had gotten a good hold on her, Red let one of her hands come around and drag lightly around his neck to his chest. She played with one of the buttons on his shirt and kissed the side of his mouth teasingly, then moved in and kissed his bottom lip while unbuttoning the small plastic button she had been toying with.
she giggled under her breath and smiled,"Think you can handle me tonight?"

He was pulled in by Red... who looked like something out of one of Cursed Whale's wet dreams. She was in his arms, hooking her legs around his waist. He was almost knocked over, but he regained his balance, and adjusted her position around his waist with his strong arms... accepting her hungry kisses.
"I think I can arise to the occasion." He breathed heavily, before taking a slightly less then gentle nip at her full lips.
